ABOUT
Dr Wilhelm van Zijl qualified in 1992 with an MB ChB from the University of Pretoria. For many years, he worked on the management of healthcare systems, during which time he obtained an MMed in Community Health and a Master of Business Science.
Oncology lured him back into clinical work and he went back to the University of the Free State to obtain his MMed Radiation Oncology degree and a College of Medicine qualification in 2013.
He immediately joined the practice of Drs Alberts, Bouwer Jordaan, which is based at the Wilgers Hospital. In 2015, Dr van Zijl became a partner at the practice.
His primary interest is urogenital disorders, and prostate cancer in particular. As such, he consults at the Pretoria Urology hospital.
With a focus on community service, Dr van Zijl also participates in an outreach clinic service in Witbank on a weekly basis.
